America's Home Loans in our 10th year of doing home loans in our beautiful capital city, Bismarck, North Dakota, situated along the Missouri River where Lewis and Clark spent winters in 1804-1805.  Lewis and Clark braved the elements, and Indians in the area during those times, in a quest to explore new territory.

In those ten years,  America's Home Loans has been adventurous also in having transitioned from Mortgage Broker to Correspondent Lender providing a higher standard of professionalism for clients in their quest for home ownership and the benefits it brings their family and their financial future.

The desire to venture into mortgage lending began with previous owner, Diane Helfrich's experience in finding inadequate mortgage options for her real estate clients.  Many borrowers were self-employed, had credit issues resulting from medical issues or the bust of the oil business in Western North Dakota, allowing these people to obtain only higher interest portfolio loans at their local bank.  She saw in her travels, and read about mortgage companies that offered loan options for these people, at lower interest rates and better terms on the secondary market than their bank could offer.  She spoke to local banks about these options and was told these people don't deserve a loan, much less better rates and terms.  Diane, having been self-employed all her life, took offense to this and the rest is history. 

Sharing in Diane's interest in finding and providing solutions for deserving people was her husband, John.  Their entrepreneurial background comes naturally for John and Diane having both been raised on farms and ranches in North Dakota as well as owning and operating them.  Diane was quoted in an article written in a local woman's magazine, Inspire, "When you put the time, energy, and enthusiasm into whatever you want, it will become yours."
